THE is a small, civil engineering and environmental consulting firm in Lexington, Kentucky. Our professional staff includes eight engineers, five licensed in Kentucky. THE has provided roadway design services since 1987. These designs include projects of varying complexity from high volume, multi-lane freeways and interstates to spot improvements on low volume local roads. THE also provides hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of small drainage structures, box culverts, and bridges. 

THE has offered environmental services since 1992. Our environmental prequalifications include baseline analysis in the areas of Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecosystems, UST/HAZMAT (preliminary site assessments), Air Quality, Noise, Socioeconomic, and document preparation (Environmental Assessments/FONSI’s, CE’s, and Environmental Overviews). Our staff has extensive experience in every facet of Section 404 and 401 permitting. Our capabilities also include stream assessments, wetland delineations, water quality assessments, macroinvertebrate surveys, fish surveys, and T&E habitat surveys. Lastly, THE provides stream and wetland mitigation design and construction oversight.
