The Law Offices of Joseph H. Nivin, P.C. is a general practice law firm, with a special focus on family law.  

I graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2007, and I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004.  When I attended Brooklyn Law School, I served as president of the Unemployment Action Center, where I represented individuals who were denied unemployment insurance benefits by the New York State Department of Labor.  I am admitted to practice law before the courts of New York and Connecticut.  I am a member of the New York State Bar Association and Queens County Bar Association.

From September 2007 to December 2010, I represented the New York City child welfare agency in family court proceedings.

Family court litigation is a daunting process with high stakes.  As your attorney, I will work diligently to obtain favorable results for you and your children.  I always try to settle cases, but I will also litigate your case at every stage if necessary.
