The Puppy Mill Project (TPMP) is an Illinois Not For Profit corporation and federal 501(c)(3) dedicated to ending puppy mill cruelty. Our mission is to educate the public and raise awareness about puppy mills and their direct connection to puppies sold in pet stores and over the Internet. We focus our efforts on puppy mills because it is one of the largest and most systemic forms of animal cruelty in this country.

We support our mission by conducting age-appropriate educational presentations to children and adults of all ages, staging peaceful protests at pet stores that sell puppy mill puppies, and educating the public through large scale marketing outreach and community events. We assist with local and state legislation to reduce the demand for puppy mill puppies and improve the lives of dogs living in the mills. Finally, we work with rescue organizations to facilitate the rescue of puppy mill dogs.
