The Refuge Center for Counseling is a mid-sized mental health care provider based in Franklin, Tennessee. It began in December 2005 with the goal of expanding access to counseling in Williamson County, where high fees were a barrier for many residents. The center serves individuals, couples, and families, and uses a sliding-scale fee model to make therapy more affordable, with per-session costs set between $19 and $125 according to income. Over time, the center has extended its offerings to include NeuroFeedback and Music Therapy, and in 2022 it delivered more than 38,000 counseling sessions to about 4,000 people. In 2024, it formed a collaboration with the Change Your Brain Foundation to present Melodies for Minds.
