With over 30 years of experience and a team of 20+ Destination Specialists who’ve lived, worked, and travelled extensively in the places we recommend, we only suggest what we’ve experienced ourselves.

Our story starts with our directors, whose travels have shaped who we are today. Nick Van Gruisen guided in Botswana and Southern Africa, Martin Thompson ran some of Kenya’s finest hotels, and Rowan Paterson led wildlife treks through the Himalayas. When they returned to England, they brought their passion and expertise home, creating The Ultimate Travel Company—a privately owned business built on personal insight, far-reaching knowledge, and a hands-on approach.
