Thornhill Group, Inc. (TGI) is an independent consulting firm that specializes in hydrogeologic and groundwater related projects. TGI's staff are certified and licensed professional geologists and hydrogeologists, with more than 75 years of collective experience studying the occurrence, movement, quality, availability and protection of groundwater resources. We are experienced in designing wells and well fields for effective development of groundwater supplies, and assessing the potential outcomes of producing important supplies of ground water. TGI staff have conducted, managed and/or participated in evaluations involving each of the Major and most of the Minor aquifers in Texas, and other important water-bearing units in Texas and Oklahoma. We have staff experienced in conducting geologic/ hydrogeologic investigations, and water management projections for municipalities and the oil and gas industry across the United States, with experience in all of the major unconventional oil and gas plays. TGI personnel have provided siting and design assistance, field-testing services, and construction inspection and testing for hundreds of irrigation, public supply and industrial wells with depths ranging from less than 50 feet to 4,000 feet, and pumping rates ranging from 10 gpm to >3,500 gpm. TGI is currently involved in 25 projects involving groundwater availability assessments, well-field evaluations and siting, environmental effects, and permitting for existing and proposed supplies ranging from 300 acre-feet per year (270,000 GPD) to 56,000 acre-feet per year (50,000,000 GPD).
