Trails and Open Space Coalition (TOSC) is a Colorado-based nonprofit focused on protecting and expanding parks, trails, and open spaces in the Southern Front Range. The organization acts as a bridge among community members, partner groups, land managers, public agencies, and outdoor advocates to promote an interconnected system of outdoor spaces for recreation, conservation, and access. Its work centers on advocacy for policies and funding, augmenting conservation efforts through volunteers and partnerships, and hands-on stewardship and program initiatives that translate passion for the outdoors into tangible impact. Based in Colorado Springs, TOSC has operated for more than two decades, guiding efforts to ensure vibrant parks and accessible trails for current residents and future generations. In addition to its on-the-ground work, the coalition shares news and stories about parks, trails, and nature to keep the local community informed and connected to outdoor spaces. A recent collaboration highlights TOSC partnering with local organizations to improve trail sustainability along existing routes in the region.
