Vermont Gas Systems (VGS) is northwest Vermont's integrated energy services company. Through energy efficiency and reduced emissions by converting to natural gas from heating oil and propane, our customers annually avoid carbon emissions equivalent to nearly 10% of the emissions produced from Vermont’s cars and trucks. And by almost completely replacing older pipe in its system, the company has eliminated significant amounts of methane leakage typical of older pipeline networks.
