Founded by Ken and Karla Werner in 1994 after a career shift prompted by environmental changes in the forestry industry, the company began as a home-based operation: selling homemade beef jerky from their minivan along the north Oregon Coast.

Driven by a commitment to quality and a hands-on approach, the Werners steadily grew their business: moving from their garage to a full production facility in Tillamook, expanding product lines to include meat sticks and candy snacks, and involving multiple family members in daily operations.
