The Wirtschaftsrat der CDU e.V. is a cross-industry entrepreneur association founded in 1963 under Ludwig Erhard's patronage to bring business expertise into political debate and to provide concrete economic-policy input on current topics. As a nationwide professional organization, it counts around 12,500 members and positions itself as a bridge between the business community and policymakers, offering a participatory platform for its membership.
