Strategic acquisition Wiser Consultants was acquired by HMB Professional Engineers in June 2024, presenting an opportunity to engage the combined firm’s clients and expand cross-sell of planning, engineering, surveying, CEI, and environmental services.

Government focus With extensive experience serving state and local governments across transportation, master planning, environmental coordination, and permitting, there are clear entry points for contract bids, task orders, and long-term CEI and design services.

Diversified tech Existing tech stack includes modern web and analytics tools along with advanced survey technologies; opportunities exist to offer modern surveying solutions, data analytics, and asset management integrations to clients.

Mid market potential Revenue range and employee size place Wiser in a mid-market segment where targeted proposals to state agencies, municipal clients, and regional transportation authorities can yield repeat engagements and broader scope contracts.

Expand service line Core competencies in planning, transportation/greenway design, traffic engineering, and CEI provide opportunities to upsell environmental studies, permitting, and utility coordination for larger, multi-disciplinary projects.
