Alma College is a private liberal arts college in Alma, Michigan, founded in 1886 by Presbyterians. It offers a selective, residential undergraduate experience for men and women. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, it is one of Michigan's Phi Beta Kappa institutions and awards the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Bachelor of Music. The college follows a calendar with two 14-week semesters followed by a one-month Spring Term, which supports cross-disciplinary study and off-campus opportunities. Its primary constituency comprises students seeking a private, liberal arts education in a small, residential environment within the higher education sector. In December 2025, Alma College announced the appointment of Dr. Joseph L. Odenwald as its 14th president.
