History

Established in 1983.
After working as a band director for 15 years, John Bertrand Sr. started Bertrand's Music in 1983. John's main goal was to improve our music education programs & promote music advocacy. Adding additional locations, websites and karaoke products keeps the company growing. Bertrand's Music has retail locations in San Diego, San Bernardino, Mission Viejo, Pasadena, Burbank & Poway as well as online ordering at  bertrandsmusic.com.

Meet the Business Owner: John Bertrand S r.

Bertrand's Music Enterprises Founder & CEO John Bertrand Sr., graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S. and M.S. in Music Education. He taught elementary, middle, and high school band, orchestra and chorus for 15 years. In 1983, he founded Bertrand's Music and opened his first store location in San Bernardino with the specific goal of supporting and enhancing music programs in public and private schools. Bertrand said "I am an educator first with the good of the individual student and overall music program in mind, in everything I do".
