BGR provides citizens, policymakers and the media with independent, nonpartisan research about government in the New Orleans metropolitan area. We are dedicated to informed public policy making and the effective use of public resources. BGR’s reports identify opportunities and solutions on high-leverage issues, and our government monitoring spans Jefferson, Orleans and St. Tammany parishes. BGR’s goal is the improvement of government in the greater New Orleans area. BGR is a member-supported, private nonprofit organization.

Attend our events. Each year, BGR presents a variety of events to build an informed citizenry and foster good government:

• Annual Luncheon – BGR’s sole fundraising event, featuring nationally prominent speakers
