Carnot manufactures next generation engines to reduce the cost and emissions of power.

Carnot was founded in 2019 with the belief that engines will play a critical role in the future of energy but is currently overlooked as a climate solution and its development neglected by the traditional engine OEMs. Traditional engines are just 30 – 35% efficiency whereas a Carnot Engine operates at over 70%. By doubling efficiency, fuel consumption reduces by 50% and delivers enormous cost savings to customers. A Carnot Engine also runs on any fuel, and can switch anytime. Fuels include Hydrogen, Ammonia, Methanol, Biofuels, Biogas, LNG, LPG, Diesel, and E-Fuels to name a few. With complete fuel flexibility any decarbonising strategy can be de-risked and the optimum solutions to any power requirement can be delivered whilst increasing flexibility.

The core technology has already been validated and Carnot is preparing to deliver a range of commercial trials.
