DCI + Madsen Engineers is a civil engineering practice formed by the merger of DCI Engineers and Madsen Consulting Engineering, based in New York City. Madsen Consulting Engineering was founded in 2010 by Erik Madsen and Cristian Vimer, and the combined entity has completed more than 1,500 projects in the New York area and beyond, spanning residential, commercial, educational, hotels, healthcare, cultural projects, and art installations. The merged firm brings experience with affordable housing projects funded by HUD or HPD and with assignments requiring approvals from agencies such as MTA, DOT, or PANYNJ, reflecting its regulatory familiarity. Ongoing project staffing will remain in place to avoid disruption to project output and client satisfaction as the transition proceeds, and the company will eventually adopt the DCI Engineers name.
