Disability Rights Advocates (DRA) is a nonprofit disability rights law center based in Berkeley, California. It pursues systemic change through class-action and other high-impact litigation to enforce civil rights for people with disabilities across the United States. Through its legal work, DRA aims to improve the daily lives of millions by establishing precedents that address a range of disability-related barriers. One notable recent development is a pro bono collaboration with King & Spalding LLP, working with the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, that contributed to a California Supreme Court decision holding agencies accountable for withholding essential public records. As a national nonprofit in the law sector, DRA focuses on litigation that targets systemic accessibility and rights issues across the country. Rebecca Williford was appointed president and chief executive officer in 2023.
