The Employee Services Management Association (ESM Association) is a nonprofit, national professional association for human resources professionals who focus on enhancing employee programs beyond traditional benefits. Based in Elmhurst, Illinois, it has operated since 1941. Members, commonly referred to as Employee Services Providers, work within HR teams to design services that raise morale and help their organizations attract and retain talent as employers of choice. The suite of employee services covers areas such as employee stores, community initiatives, dependent care, recreation, recognition programs, special events, travel services, voluntary benefits, and wellness initiatives. As a nonprofit association, it supports members with education, a quarterly magazine, products and services, e-newsletters, online forums, and networking opportunities. Through teleconferences and other forums, members share approaches to sustaining morale in today's economy and implementing programs that can contribute to employee retention.
