It all started in 2019 with the drive to create an eco-friendly response to the U.S. housing shortage.

One opportunity we saw was creating DIY prefabricated accessory dwelling units. We found that many companies offer prefab ADUs, but they can take months to complete. So we took an efficient approach. 

After years of sourcing materials, engineers and designers creating mockups, and building a prototype in a small Southern California warehouse, LIM Living was born. 

Today, our ADUs come prefabricated and panelized to make it easy for almost anyone to assemble in as little as 3 days.  

At the heart of why we do what we do, is our mission to counter global warming and help lower the world’s carbon footprint. That’s why our focus is making products with the least environmental impact and providing long-term value. 

LIM stands for less is more. Through conscious practices and intelligent minimalist design, we create healthy, high-quality and affordable products to make a bigger impact - with less.
