Live Cell Assays, LLC ("LCA") is a privately-held biotechnology company in the East San Francisco Bay Area (Martinez, California). LCA is a small company seeking qualified investors, business partners and contract research customers. LCA offers live cell assay development services, software development services and general live cell imaging and digital image analysis services. Our software  acquires and analyzes optical microscope images at subcellular resolution. We specialize in the analysis of time-lapse images of large numbers of individual living cells. LCA offers custom designed software that assists automated decision-making and process control during live cell imaging assays and long-term experiments. Our Founder/ President/ Manager is the co-inventor of Visual-Servoing Optical Microscopy (VSOM) a patented method for vision-based automated decision-making and process control during live cell imaging assays, experiments, and procedures. Our current VSOM System (see www.livecellassays.com) is controlled by VSOM Application Software that is customized for each new customer and each new contract research application. LCA offers contract research services that utilize our VSOM System. LCA specializes in live cell kinetic imaging assay development; however, LCA also offers other contract research services that utilize our VSOM System and our VSOM Application Software. LCA is currently developing an ex vivo VSOM Assay suitable for long-term tracking of the living cancer stem cells found in thin, living slices of Patient Derived Xenograft (PDX) tumor tissue.
