Our history dates back to the early 1990’s, when Maritime General Agency and Marine MGA were founded. With the addition of Windward Marine Underwriters in 2002, it became three distinct marine insurance underwriting facilities, each operating independently. Maritime Program Group was formed to unite these companies and integrate their programs, services, expertise, and shared heritage. 

The result is more than the largest program underwriter of Recreational Marine insurance in the United States. It’s a company that addresses every aspect of marine-related risks – Recreational Marine, Inland Marine, Ocean Marine, and for those whose financial situations require special attention, Private Client Services.
