Unitywater is a regional utilities provider based in Maroochydore, Queensland. It supplies drinking water and treats sewage for communities across the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions. The utility maintains a substantial network of infrastructure valued at more than $3.4 billion, delivering potable water and processing the sewage of a population that accounts for roughly 17% of Queensland’s residents, across about 5,223 square kilometers. Operations began on 1 July 2010 under the South-East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail) Act 2009 as part of a government reform program, and the company is governed by an independent Board of Directors. It holds formal endorsement from Work180 recognizing its commitment to workplace equity. In June 2026, Unitywater opened a 12-megalitre reservoir on the Sunshine Coast to service about 21,000 future residents, reflecting ongoing capacity expansion in its service area.
