· OUR STORY ·

American Vintage was founded in 2005 by Michaël Azoulay in Marseille, in the south of France.
Inspired by the American way of life, he took his chance and started his own business at 23 with an idea for sole safeguard: the idea that a T-shirt, the ultimate essential in the United States, had a strong potential to become a trendy piece in France. American Vintage was born.

Success was not immediate but Michaël Azoulay sharpened thoughtfully the vision of his brand and surrounded himself with highly skilled designers to move forward. With a pragmatic approach, they transformed American Vintage into a successful brand which became a staple in every fashionista’s wardrobe in only 7 years.

Today, American Vintage delivers a multi-faceted wardrobe with an off-beat take on fashion codes, playing with rules, daring style combinations to reach out to all personalities. The collections have spread and have been shaped, offering more structured and high-fashion items.
We are proud to have nearly 150 boutiques around the world and to sell our apparel in more than 1500 outlets. This human story brings together nearly 450 colleagues in 19 different countries. (chiffres à confirmer)
