The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is a government agency in Macau within the travel arrangements sector, tasked with pursuing the territory's tourism sector goals. It is led by a Director, assisted by two Deputy Directors, and organized into five divisions: Licensing and Inspections; Promotion & Marketing; Product Development & Special Projects; Research and Planning; and Administrative and Finance. The Tourism Activities Center, known as CAT, operates under MGTO as a division responsible for promoting and supporting meetings, exhibitions, festivals and other events of tourist interest. A Tourism Fund exists within MGTO, regulated by separate legislation, with a Tourism Fund Support Sector under the Administrative and Finance Division responsible for budget proposals and accounting for the fund. MGTO maintains 18 marketing or public relations representatives around the world to link Macao tourism with the world, covering regions including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and other markets.
