Welcome to Mary Macleod’s, a 3rd generation, women owned, family owned business, where butter is the boss and every cookie is crafted by hand. Just like each of us, no two cookies are exactly alike. So, crumb as you are. Everyone’s welcome in this shortbread shop. 

Joy and butter make everything better. Mary Macleod believed it, and we’re pretty sure you will too. When Mary opened Canada’s first shortbread bakery in 1981, she did it with an uncompromising commitment to quality and unconditional love of real creamery butter. 

To this day, we still do things her way: happily crafting small-batch, all-butter shortbread by hand using only simple, premium ingredients. So, go ahead and enjoy yourself. Cookies this good make indulgence an everyday occasion.
