Northeastern Junior College is a public two-year higher education institution based in Sterling, Colorado, founded in 1941. The college emphasizes accessible, student-centered education delivered through small class sizes, individualized attention, and a broad array of learning-support resources, with the aim of helping students transfer to four-year institutions or enter the workforce. It is Colorado’s largest residential two-year college, capable of housing about 600 students across six residence halls. The college offers more than 80 programs of study and has a faculty that is largely full-time, with more than 70% of instructors in full-time roles. In 2024, Northeastern Junior College launched a paramedic program as part of its ongoing program expansion.
