By offering opportunities for Career Launchers to execute short-term, professional projects, companies can engage, assess, and recruit prospective candidates for full-time roles or summer internships, including those students who might not otherwise apply or get filtered out by traditional processes. This approach works because busy professionals appreciate the immediate support from highly motivated college students on projects that would otherwise take them 5-40 hours to complete, and don’t require deep expertise in the space or access to sensitive information (eg content creation, lead generation, research, data cleansing, etc.). While not the best use of time for an experienced professional, college students and recent grads are excited complete these projects as a ways to demonstrate their skills, build relationships, and explore career paths.
