In 1947, Roland Rosa founded Rosa’s Office Plus. For three generations, Rosa’s had been owned and operated by the Rosa Family serving the local community for 60 years. Current owner John Hauptstueck bought Rosa’s in 2006. Growing the company in 2009, John purchased three more office supply businesses – Muncie Office Supply, Office King in Rushville, and Indiana Office Supply in Greensburg. During this time Rosa’s also became an authorized dealer of OFUSA Office Furniture, which makes up the majority of furniture sales for Rosa’s. In 2010, Rosa’s expanded into several more areas including custom color printing, corporate logo apparel and promotional goods, and most recently offering coffee services with Green Mountain Coffee and Keurig. The overall growth of Rosa’s has been dramatic, doubling the overall sales from 2006 and expanding service to the entire state of Indiana and Western Ohio. Rosa’s Office Plus is an authorized agent for the Independent Stationers GSA FSSI contract, US Communities $500 million dollar contract, and the Champs GPO contract. John currently serves on the Board of Directors for Independent Stationers (is.group), the buying cooperative of which Rosa’s was a founding member in 1977. The organization’s members are located throughout the US and in 3 foreign countries. Collectively, is.group members produce $2.5 billion in end-user sales.
