Varisport, Inc., was founded in December 1993 as "Torch Enterprises" with the development of our initial product, the Ultraslide (1992). At this time it was quickly becoming recognized as an essential lateral training and conditioning device for professional and college teams, clinics, and individual athletes.

Looking for a corporate name that was truly unique to the company's mission, "Torch Enterprises" was changed to "Varisport" in May of 2004. The name comes from the Latin "varietas" which means "diversity". Coupled with "sport", the name embodies the message the company tries to promote: "Diversity Of Sport, In Sport, And Through Sport". 
 
As Varisport grows beyond Ultraslide into other products and services, including travel and seminars, we will always stay true to the belief that sport can and must be used to build bridges, create understanding and tolerance, and unite the people of the world.
 
Since 1993, ULTRASLIDE® has benefited teams, athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and rehabilitation patients worldwide. Professional and collegiate strength and conditioning coaches rely on the Ultraslide for lateral training, agility, and core stabilizing workouts.
