As the data privacy landscape evolves, we often get asked about our compliance with privacy laws. We’ve compiled responses to the most commonly asked questions about the B2B contact data within our Identify product. More information can also be found in our Privacy Policy.
‍
Each professional profile in LeadIQ’s B2B contacts database contains some or all of the following categories of personal data:
Full name, email addresses and phone numbers, city location, job title and department, company/employer name and postal address, employment history, educational background and related social media profiles.Â
We only process contact information that would typically be found on a business card rather than an individual’s personal contact information.
‍
No. We do not process any sensitive personal data, nor do we process the personal information of minors.
‍
LeadIQ’s lawful basis for processing the personal data in our B2B contacts database is legitimate interest, as it is necessary for us to collect and process professional contact data as part of our service offering to our customers and, more widely, to facilitate B2B commerce and deal making. Following a legitimate interest assessment, we have concluded that the measures that we have put in place should have a limited impact on an individual’s private life and their personal interests, rights and freedoms. For example, we do not process personal contact information and we have a process in place to ensure individuals in our contacts database can request to be removed at any time.
We share the personal data in our B2B contacts database with our customers to support their targeted sales prospecting activities. LeadIQ customers are required to sign a legal contract and DPA to ensure the personal data is used in compliance with privacy laws. For example, we prohibit the use of the contact data for spamming and prior to contacting a prospect using the contact data that LeadIQ provides, we expect our customers to follow the consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive. LeadIQ does not share any personal data of its customers when they sign up to use our services.
LeadIQ obtains its data primarily from the four sources described in Our Data.
‍
LeadIQ periodically verifies its contact data through feedback received from customers, updates from our data partners and submissions from the individuals themselves. If you wish to update or rectify the contact data we hold on you, you can make a request in our Privacy Center.
‍
To access your personal data or exercise any other privacy right, please visit our Privacy Center or contact us at support@leadiq.com. You can find more information about your rights here.
LeadIQ’s customers have obligations under GDPR when they collect and process the contact data for their business purposes, and and also the ePrivacy Directive when the contact data is used to prospect sales leads.
